Please forgive me
For the times
I let you down
Let my own insecurities
Step in the way
Of a beautiful friendship.

When I was lonely
You gave me strength
When I was depressed you lifted me up
Like an angel
You were there
When I needed you most.

In you
I have a friend,
A heart,
A soul,
A smile.
To always warm me
When emptiness gathers
And daily troubles
Get in the way.

For this I thank you
And I often smile
For I always know
You will always
Always Be my friend.
