What is fear?
What does it encompass?
It is a self-imposed prison cell.
It traps, confines and isolates.
It violates one's freedom
And imposes limitations and walls.
It is restricting
And reduces one's self-confidence.
It is a monster
That grows within.
People take shortcuts
In life
Partly because of fear
Mostly because of pain.
Not realizing
They are only
Hurting themselves.
Uncertainty is paradise
When ignorance
Means sweet freedom
From the chains within.
But what price is paid
For never trying
To unlock
The prison cell
One is trapped in?
